As the 2025 season approaches, the HVHS women’s soccer team is gearing up with determination and hard work for their upcoming games. Following a season of mixed results, the Lady Titans are focused on achieving greater success and fixing mistakes made last year.
Facing a loss in their first scrimmage, March 7th, against Jefferson Forest High School, the team began to get an idea of the opponents they will play against and the kind of things they need to work and build upon moving forward into their season. Jefferson Forest won the scrimmage 3-0; however, Jefferson Forest won the 4A Seminole Region last year and return the majority of their team.
Under the guidance of their coaching staff, the HV women’s soccer team has been actively preparing for the months ahead, working on strategies, formations, and skills to improve and build on. Despite a tough loss to a talented team, the girls continue to show up and put in work every day and look forward to a great season.
A senior member of the team, Audrey Pearson, commented ,”My favorite parts of HV soccer are the environment and how easy it to laugh and smile when at practice or at games.” An environment like this encourages players to keep showing up and help them to enjoy their sport, both for love of the game and for the friendships they are able to form being apart of the team.
“I am so hype for our game against Cave Spring, since it is a rivalry match and we have beaten them all three years I have played,” stated Pearson. With a supportive coaching staff and close knit team, the Lady Titans are ready for another great season.
