The Animal Advocacy Club had a food drive for animals in need during the holiday season. This went on from December 12th-17th. Cali Anderson and Sara Elsanjak were the lead advocators for this drive. Students were able to bring in food throughout the week before break.
Animal Advocacy Club is for Hidden Valley students who want to help create a better life for animals in need and give back to their community. Members of this club work to support animal shelters and raise awareness for pets in shelters. They do this through various activities and campaigns. They are involving the school in this great club so that everyone can help our community.
Cali Anderson (12) is the lead member of this club. She stated, “My favorite part of the club is organizing the animal food drives, and getting the school involved with these opportunities” She also said that her goal for this club is to “help animals in need and raise awareness, while making a tangible difference!”
Sara Elsankjak (12) explained, “I love being able to give back to my community and help the animals who need support.” For her goals for this club, she said “my goal for the Animal Advocacy Club is to make Hidden Valley students become more involved with helping animals.” “I want everyone to be aware on how animals are treated and advocate for better treatment for them.”
This was a great cause for Hidden Valley students to donate to. This drive collected a large amount of food for the shelters, ensuring animals aren’t going hungry especially during the holiday seasons. Cali and Sara are advocating for a great cause!
