Spotify Wrapped is a feature on Spotify that appears every December that shows listeners their top albums, songs, singers, and more. This feature captures everyone’s soundtrack of their life for that year. Spotify uses special technology to really narrow down what you were listening to. The anticipation and excitement is always around when Spotify Wrapped is nearby!

Spotify Wrapped is popular because it is very personable and, with the use of modern technology, it is very accurate. Spotify also makes the wrapped very exciting due to the colorful graphics, the music, and even video messages from your top artists. Spotify Wrapped is also improving as the years go on. The 2024 wrapped added a new feature called “Your Music Evolution” which went through each month and the year and described the vibe and genre you explored. These new advancements are what is making this year stand out.

However, there have been some mixed opinions on the 2024 Wrapped. Ann Elise Kadela (12) said, “My wrapped was very accurate and I think it definitely had all of my top artists correct.” Personally, I thought my wrapped seemed a little random and maybe even inaccurate but who knows! Ann Elise also shared, “My top artists of this year were Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Drake.”

I think that Spotify Wrapped is such a fun and unique way for music lovers to really express what they loved throughout the year. It is fun to look at, share with your friends, and just receive an evaluation of what music we all love. My top artists of 2024 were SZA, The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, Ariana Grande, and Chappell Roan. My top song of the year was “Yes, And?” by Ariana Grande which I think is inaccurate.
