During the 2024/2025 school year Hidden Valley teachers will be participating in football themed spirt days. The winning department each week will receive a pizza lunch provided by the administration.
Some of the themes so far this year have been pink out for cancer awareness, camo day, and All American day. “Camo theme was my favorite, because people were very creative,” remarked Sergio Rodriguez (12) member of Titan 12.
The teachers are starting to participate more as the football season goes on. Some teachers are getting very creative with their outfits and costumes. One teacher wore a blowup costume for pink out and another wore a ghillie suit for camo day.
Teachers have started to create their outfits or shop for new ones. “I DIY some of my clothes, I even spray painted my shirt for the USA theme,” said Mrs. Preston (Math Department Chair . The teachers hope that this friendly competition will build more school spirit and create an exciting atmosphere. “I like to have fun with my outfits and make the spirit days more fun. Hopefully it will encourage students to participate in football themes,” Mrs. Preston added.
The latest theme was Hawaiian, and the competition was won by the English Department. The department staged a luau with a limbo contest for their picture. Furthermore, they added a background for their student vote submission, raising the stakes for future competitions.
