Hidden Valley High School excitedly hosted the fall pep rally on September 6th, 2024 for the student body. Students crowded the gym, sitting by grade level waiting for the pep rally to begin. When pep rally host Luca Dorlini (10) was asked how the first pep rally went, she said, “I feel like it was really good, especially since we are building up the pep rally planning committee and have people who want to be apart of it- it just helps so much.”
The pep rally started with a ‘who can get the loudest’ contest which the seniors proudly won. The pep rally committee sponsor Mrs. Webster has a lot of passion for school spirit; “School spirit is like my favorite thing, and its what makes high school fun.” To get the crowd up and moving, a school wide game was played where if you had a certain item you had to run to Luca for a prize. Of course the teachers had to get involved, so they joined select students in musical chairs, balloon stomping, and tug-a-war contests. Which, to no ones surprise, the teachers won all three. The Titan marching band was proudly playing through the entire event including the student entrance, musical chairs, and when the students left.
Through out this school year, Mrs. Webster and the pep rally committee have been striving to put on better pep rallies to help bring more school spirt to the student body. When Luca Dorlini was asked about how she liked being a second year member, she said, “I really do enjoy it because last year it was just three of us plus Coach Sammie, but now we are building that out and seeing that what we do impacts the whole school.” The committee plans on having more pep rallies and spirit days through the year to bring more Titan pride to the school!
