At Hidden Valley High School, in the year 2024-2025, Mrs. Weaver takes on the task of Senior Class Sponsor. As the senior class sponsor, Mrs. Weaver is mainly in charge of planning events for the seniors. These events include the graduation ceremony, senior day, homecoming week, and many others.

“We do so much, mainly we focus on senior events in the spring, so we coordinate all senior day, and we also coordinate the senior ceremony. Occasionally we have other smaller things we plan during the year. These things include homecoming week, spirit week, and special events,” says Mrs. Weaver.

Even though there is not many senior events going on in the beginning of the school year, Mrs. Weaver still has tasks. These tasks include class meetings and distributing graduation supplies that are sold during lunch. Being that it is still very early in the year, some new ideas for this school year are in the works to be put into place.

Mrs. Weaver says, “there isn’t a lot of work in the fall, but there is ordering graduation materials being sold during lunch and class meetings.” During the spring, Mrs. Weaver’s task of senior class sponsor picks up speed. She goes right into planning when February rolls around.

Mrs. Weaver and the Titan Voice are getting together to plan some new events. The ideas aren’t fully set, but plans are in motion. “Since we just started school again, we haven’t come up with too many new ideas yet this year, but we are trying to change some things up for this year. The Titan Voice group is getting with us, and we are going to plan events with them,” says Mrs. Weaver.

Being senior class sponsor can be a hard task, so Mrs. Weaver has some help from Calli Anderson, a senior class officer. Anderson also helps Mrs. Weaver and her senior class by planning some events. This year, Anderson is excited to be part of the planning.

Calli Anderson started this role through being the SCA secretary for this school year. “I am a senior officer because I have always loved stepping into leadership roles. I like to dedicate my time and efforts to help the school in any way to make it a more enjoyable environment,” exclaims Anderson.

The year 2024-2025 is going to be a good year for these seniors. Mrs. Weaver is getting things rolling and has already been planning for this year to come. Events and days of fun are coming soon. We can’t wait to see how her job as Senior Class Sponsor is going to make the school year great.
