Hola, estudiantes! This 2024-2025 school year at Hidden Valley, we are welcoming a new Spanish teacher to the foreign language department: Mrs. Baker. She is a first-year teacher, and will be teaching Spanish 1.
Something that speaks volumes about Mrs. Baker’s character is what her fellow teachers think of her. Mr. Harrison (Spanish Dept.) and Mrs. Darby (Spanish Dept.) commented, “We appreciate her sense of humor, ability to make us laugh, and the positive energy that she brings to the department and to Hidden Valley whenever she’s around.”
When asked what their favorite thing about Mrs. Baker was, Mr. Harrison and Mrs. Darby immediately pointed out their “shared love of travel, learning about different cultures, and learning [other] language[s].”
One interesting thing about Mrs. Baker is what she does in her free time. She has a food truck called Media Luna that serves Colombian food, including delicious arepas, (Mr. Harrison and Mrs. Darby’s favorite) empanadas, fried zucchini, churros, and more at local festivals and events.
“She is very dedicated to her family and cherishes spending time with them whenever she can,” Mr. Harrison and Mrs. Darby added.
We are very appreciative to have Mrs. Baker at the school and have no doubt that Hidden Valley will be a great fit for her.
