Abby Atwood, a 17-year-old senior has accomplished many things throughout her stay at Hidden Valley Highschool. Specifically, she has focused on athletics. At Hidden Valley, she has been on the Varsity Basketball team and Outdoor Track.
Outside of athletics, she has also served as Vice President of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).
Her favorite memory from her two years at Hidden Valley is her first day of school, because everyone was very welcoming and nice. Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Preston and Mrs. Wong. They are her outlets, and she could talk to them about anything.
In August she is heading to Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg. She will be majoring in Nursing, while also being a member of their Track and Field team.
Her advice to the younger classes is to stay focused and work hard to achieve your goals. During her high school years, she regrets not giving 100%. She will miss all the younger students who always went to her for advice.
One very important lesson she has learned throughout her high school years is that no matter how hard life may be for you, you must keep going and always try to look at the positive side. “Everyone has their own story, and everyone goes through different obstacles, but you have to make that a reason to push through rather than a reason to stop.”
