Baggy clothes, like cargos and jorts are having a big comeback, being very trendy right now. While what is trending changes often, this is one style that has continuously been worn amongst teens this year. Baggy clothing is so popular amongst females right now. This is not only because its so comfortable, but also because of the “model off duty” look, popularized by icons like Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid. Baggy clothing is also being worn by more males right now than ever. Adam Sandler has become a big influence on the laid back, sweats and such look in public. Whilst many rappers like Jay-Z influence the baggy street wear side of fashion for girls and guys. Ritvik Vasudeva (12) justifies this by saying, “a lot of my fashion influence comes from rappers I listen to.” It is a known fact that many stars, from models to comedians, have a heavy influence on what teens are wearing. The baggy style is extremely popular and could be a trendy addition to your wardrobe.
A piece of clothing that is having a major come back along with 90’s, Y2K, 2000’s, and grunge styles are low rise jeans. Obviously, with Hollister and other popular brands for teens, the 2010’s high-rise jeans were the most popular, whether flared, strait leg, skinny, etc. Although, this year low rise jeans have been a hot commodity amongst teens, no matter what the style. While everyone has their own personal style, low rise jeans are very versatile, with many different prints. Ipsita Das (9) agrees saying, “I like my own style, but I also like fitting in with the trends.” Low rise jeans can be worn with all different things from sundresses to crop tanks.
