Miss Pressley went to Hidden Valley High School and danced at Ardell Stone School of Dancing growing up and now she is teaching at both! Miss Pressley wanted to come back to what she considers home, Hidden Valley High School. Miss Pressley enjoys writing and reading so she majored in English in college. She will be teaching grade nine college bound and advanced English the current 2023-2024 school year.
Miss Pressley says, “What I enjoy most about teaching are the relationships that I get to have with my students.”
Miss Pressley enjoys building connections with students, which makes the students enjoy her class even more. Miss Pressley has several students the she teaches English and dance.
One of the students that Miss Pressley has in dance and English is Olivia Russell. Russell says, “I am excited, because I get to know her better and get used to her teaching, so it will be easier transitioning that to dance.” Miss Pressley agrees, saying, “I feel like it helps our bond grow even stronger.” Miss Pressley wants the best for her students in dance and here at HVHS. She strives to build productive connections with her students.
Having multiple jobs can be hard to manage for many people, but not for Miss Pressley. Miss Pressley says, “Growing up I competed in dance, I worked, and went to school, so I’ve sort of been doing the same things my whole life.” Miss Pressley is nice, easy to talk to, and much more. All of Miss Pressley’s students are lucky to have her!
