The Hidden Valley Titan’s swam their way to the spotlight at the state swimming finals, showing off their dedication and talent in an electrifying competition.
The Hidden Valley swim team competed in a state meet on March 4th in Richmond, VA, at Swim RVA.
13 Titan’s attended states on Marth 4th and competed in multiple swimming events like, two boy’s relays’, three girl’s relays’, and multiple individual events. Nathan Baxley, Kate Kadela, Erin Baxley, and Molly Morgan all competed in individual events. Addison Weaver (10) was quoted saying, “We had two relays qualify for finals, Nathan Baxley qualified for finals, Erin Baxley qualified for finals, and Molly Morgan qualified for finals, everyone swam really great!”.
Both the girls’ relays placed for finals, the relays included 2IM and the 400 Free. Erin Baxley individually placed second on the 100 Back, and fourth in the 500 Free, Molly Morgan was B final in both of her events (100 fly and 100 free), AnnEliese Kadela was B final in 100 back, Jia Byrnes was B final in 100 rest, and Nathan Baxley was B final in 2 free and 100 fly.
The way you get into states is by getting a certain time/cut or place top five in the region. Molly Morgan (9) was quoted saying, “So how it works it looks like a track meet but in a pool. There are heats and lanes.” Many things (and meets) went into these Titans making it to states, and they all worked hard getting to where they are!
