Tanis says that one of her goals for this season is to, “have a winning record by winning more than half of [our] games.” Tanis followed up by saying, “We also want to host a region game.” Avery Tanis has worked very hard throughout her basketball career and plans to continue playing at Roanoke College for the next four years.
Another popular winter sport at Hidden Valley is indoor track and field. Ty Swank (12) is a senior on the team. When asked what his favorite thing about his sport is, he answered, “My favorite thing about track is the teammates and the camaraderie.” This is Swank’s first year participating in indoor track, but he has done cross country and outdoor track for multiple seasons.
