From October 25th to November 2nd, the New York Yankees and the Los Angles Dodgers faced off in the World Series to decide the winner of the MLB.
This was predicted to be one of the best World Series matchups in history, as both teams have loaded rosters. The Los Angles Dodgers ended up winning the series 4-1.
Carson Waters (10) prophesized the Dodgers victory. “The Dodgers will end up winning the world series. I just think there the better team, but I also don’t really like the Yankees.” Meanwhile, Camden Tarr (9) was on the wrong sided of predictions, “I think that the Yankees will win. They have the overall better team with many players that play a valuable role for the team all together.”
Freddie Freeman, the Los Angles Dodgers First Basemen, won the World Series MVP as he put on a show. Freeman hit .300 against the Dodgers and had 4 homeruns with 12 RBI’s. He contributed a ton to the team, often scoring at clutch moments.
Other players, such as Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani, helped get the team to the World series with amazing regular seasons. Shohei had a 50/50 (HR/SB) season. Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler also had an outstanding series, winning game 3 and closing game 5 to become World Series Champions.
“The games actually surprised me as I thought this would end up going to game 7. These teams are both insanely good and are extremely competitive,” stated Carson Waters. Camden Tarr added, ” I’m surprised, the Dodgers almost swept the Yankees, in a World Series!”
The Series defied expectations, with the Dodgers almost sweeping, baseball is an unpredictable game.
