The NFL Season began on Thursday September 5th, and people all over the United States tuned in to watch the first week of the 2024-25 season. The NFL has been around since 1920 and has continued to grow its popularity throughout the years. The beginning of the season is a great opportunity for fans to get a glimpse of how different teams may do throughout the year. It is also a great opportunity to watch rookies in action for the first time. They make their debuts during this first week.
The season started off with a bang as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Baltimore Ravens. It was a close game with the Chiefs coming out on top. Another exciting game that was played in the first week were the Packers and the Eagles, who played in Brazil on Friday night. This marked the first time in 50 years that an NFL game has been played on a Friday night. Unfortunately, the field conditions in Brazil were not ideal, and Packers quarterback Jordan Love got injured. Lastly, another exciting matchup was the Bills and the Cardinals game. This was a close game, up until the very end where the Bills ended up taking the win.
Many fans are very excited about the start of the season, and they are gearing up to watch their favorite teams play. Ella James (12) expressed that she is excited to watch Chiefs, Cowboys, and Eagles this season. Her favorite NFL player, she says, is Travis Kelce. “I am very excited to watch him play with the Chiefs this season,” James (12) states. Alex Batsaichan (12) states that he is very excited for the start of the NFL season. He says he is going to be following the Texans. “I’m excited to see how new additions such as Joe Mixon and Stephon Diggs contribute to the team.” Bo Nix is the rookie he is most excited about watching this season. Viewers all over the world are stoked about what this season has to offer. The first week is just a small look into what this season holds.
