New York Fashion Week is an annual event that was held in Manhattan, New York from September 6th-11th 2024, that displays the latest collections by our favorite designers and brands. NYFW captures the attention of any fashion lover every year and this fashion week continued that legacy. Every year, in fall and spring, the Council of Fashion Designers America holds a fashion week in New York that is full of the biggest designers showing their clothes, the top models wearing them, and a huge audience.
One week, thirty runway shows, and the most luxury brands. This fashion show had so many of the top brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, and 3.1 Phillip Lim. With these brands on the runway, the fashion show had so much to see. The top two runway shows with the best outcomes were Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. Tommy Hilfiger modeled a very preppy and nautical theme with wide leg trousers, flowy dresses, and a color palette of red and white. Ralph Lauren went a different route showing a more bold and sophisticated fashion. All the shows were unique and impressive in their own ways.
The outcome of the Fall/Winter NYFW was an enormous success. The celebrities that attended have fans jaw dropped. Some included Madonna, First lady Jill Biden, Suni Lee, and many more. More than 500,000 people attended, which is way over the normal attendance rate. The public opinions have been good, with most people enjoying the fashion and even looking to explore the trends themselves. Norah Poff (10) says, “NYFW this fall was great. I loved the Tory Burch show the best!”
Overall, NYFW was thriving this year, with amazing brands, designers, models, and more. Fashion Week gets everybody prepared for the upcoming trends of the season. This season’s show showed trends including lots of cat patterns, very boho type fashion, statement coats, overuse of red, and a lot more. I personally loved the fashion show this fall and thought all the designers did outstanding!
