Kim Kardashian has made her comeback to the makeup industry with “Skkn by Kim.” The new brand was released on January 26th, 2024, with lip liners, lipsticks, and an eyeshadow palette. Skkn by Kim is available on her website www.skknbykim.com. This release comes following her past makeup brand “KKW Beauty” in 2017 which closed in 2021 due to rebranding concerns. Years later she is making her comeback and there are a lot of opinions surrounding it.
“Skkn by Kim” has released with their first makeup products including her “Classic Mattes Eyeshadow Palette” for $50, “Lip Liner” for $22, and the “Soft Matte Lip Color” for $32. Since it is her comeback, these products are blowing up and getting lots of attention. The attention comes with good and bad opinions. The main issue people are having is the prices. People think it is too expensive for makeup and for what she is releasing. Other reviews are saying that though it is expensive, it is quality makeup and some even say it is worth the outrageous pricing.
This is a new era for Kim Kardashian with “Skkn by Kim.” She is dipping her feet back into the makeup industry with her new releases. Vada Szechenyi (9), states “I won’t be buying the makeup because of the prices, and I think the packaging is not impressive.” Sadly, this is quite a common opinion on the release, but the reviews are saying that the makeup is promising. I think that Kim should have lowered her prices and made the release more unique. Either way, I am happy Kim Kardashian is back to makeup because she is an icon and has beautiful makeup herself!
