On December 31st, 2023, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest TV Production was streamed to introduce the year of 2024. This yearly event has been happening since 1972. Dick Clark originally hosted the show, but Ryan Seacrest took over in 2006. Rockin’ Eve is an extremely popular television production that has grown bigger and bigger every year. It celebrates the new year every year by watching the ball drop-in Times Square at midnight. Rockin’ Eve always has extremely popular celebrities and singers who perform at the event.
Rockin’ Eve this year was an enormous success. One of the biggest performers who performed was Sabrina Carpenter. She sang her most popular songs, “Feather” and “Nonsense.” Another huge performer was Megan Thee Stallion. She performed just after the ball dropped and was the first performance of 2024 on Rockin’ Eve. She sang her songs, “Body,” “Cobra,” “Her,” and “Savage.” The other top performer was the new artist, Tyla. She sang her songs from her new EP, “On and On,” “Truth or Dare,” and “Water.” More performers included Jelly Roll, Flo Rida, LL Cool J, Maria Becerra, Triad Brass, and Yng Lvcas. The performances were a triumph this year!
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is a wonderful production. It is insanely popular for a reason and brings so many people together to celebrate the new year. So many people gather at the event itself and just at home watching their TV. Kate Kadela (9) said, “I of course watched the broadcast; I watch it every year.” She also added, “My favorite part of it this year was Sabrina Carpenter’s performance.” When you think of New Year’s Eve it will not be long ’til you think of Rockin’ Eve. 2024’s ball drop was a great broadcast with amazing performances and simply good energy for the new year.
