Taylor Swift, pop music star, and Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, have recently been seen spending time together on their days off. Most people know the two celebrities as individuals, but the pairing has evidently gone viral. Are they together? Is this a publicity stunt? Is this couple the real deal? These are just a few of the questions that followers of the stars have been asking.
The whole idea of “Traylor” started when Travis Kelce made a comment in an interview about wanting to give Taylor Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it. Since this, rumors have been flying left and right about these celebrities. Many people thought nothing would begin between them, but to our surprise they were wrong. On September 24th, Swift was spotted in a suite with Kelce’s mom, at a Kansas City Chiefs game. Later that night, they were seen leaving the game together and riding off into their so called “getaway car”.
Taylor was also seen at the Chiefs vs. Jets game and Chiefs vs. Broncos game. Some think Swift attending the games is a way for her to show support, but others think it is a publicity tactic. “I think they seem really happy and everyone is just overreacting a bit” says Addy Weaver (9). Not only has she been attending the games, but the NFL has frequently been showing and advertising the fact that she is present. This media time has boosted her and Kelce’s popularity quite a bit.
On the opposing side, many supporters feel that the connection between Swift and Kelce is as real as it gets. On September 24th Swift and Kelce were also seen eating dinner and socializing with some friends at Prime Social Rooftop in Kansas City. “I think they are very cute together and seem like they really enjoy spending time with each other,” says Ella Westerhold (9).
In spite of the fact that this linking is very new, fans are living out their wildest dreams in the hopes of a relationship.
