Today I’m reviewing “The Breakfast Club” released in 1985 and directed by John Hughes. This movie is a blast to the 80’s that perfectly encapsulates that era. It is in my opinion, the quintessential 80’s movie. It follows a group of five high schoolers, all in entirely different cliques, as they spend a whole Saturday together at detention. As they spend the day together, they start to bond with one another, as they reveal more things about their personal lives, and how they ended up in detention to begin with. Each character has their own charm and anybody can find at least one thing they can relate to in one of the characters. Mixed with a banger soundtrack and all around fantastic acting and writing and you get one of my favorite movies from the 80’s. I’m giving “The Breakfast Club” a 4.5/5, or a 9.4/10.
