Each morning at Hidden Valley high school Brady McHenry gives his opinion and rating on a movie he has seen recently or in the past and shares details to see if we would be interested or not. Brady is a senior this year and his first year sharing his love and reviews about movies at the school. On the other hand, Brady has a YouTube channel where he shares more details about more movies and makes some of his own short films.
When Brady rates the movies he watches there is a numerous number of things to look for in the film. He looks for the lighting, editing, cinematography, directing etc., Brady McHenry (12) stated “If I don’t enjoy a movie no matter how good it is made, it is garbage.” If he can enjoy the movie personally, he adds points just for that. Being able to share the movie without sharing to much takes balance, and that’s what Brady’s good at. Hailey Perdue (12th grade) shared how she enjoyed Brady’s segment, “I enjoy listening to Brady’s segment each morning, it helps me gain new ideas of movies to watch that I never have thought of!”
This segment is important and valuable to Brady because as his last year being here at Hidden Valley, he has the opportunity and is able to share his biggest interest with others in hopes of other people listening and being intrigued with his reviews and what he has to say. Brady was easily inspired to do this segment because he already shares a love for film and production, and it was easy to combine the two and make a segment.
