Drake’s new album “For All The Dogs” was released on October 6th, 2023. It is Drake’s eighth studio album. Drake has been teasing the release of this album since the very beginning of the year and finally released a single from it a month before release. Drake’s only single to promote the album came out on September 15th. The song is “Slime You Out” (featuring SZA). It debuted number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and got people super excited for the album.
“For All The Dogs” is Drake’s album that corresponds with his first book, “Titles Ruin Everything”. The name of the album was teased in the book. The book and album share similar themes like staying away from the negativity of his critics and to keep doing his own thing. This album is a rap, hip-hop album, with many features from other famous artists. He collaborates with artists including 21 Savage, SZA, Bad Bunny, J. Cole, Lil Yachty, Yeat, and other popular rappers.
This is one of my all-time favorite Drake albums. I have only two skips off the entire album. I loved all the different features and hearing my favorite artists alongside Drake. You can see all his hard work within the album because he released a 23-song album in the span of less than a year from his last album release. My favorite songs on the album are “Slime You Out” (featuring SZA), “IDGAF” (featuring Yeat), and “Fear of Heights”. I give this album 5/5 shields!
